GRACE is an AI built on Claude, by Anthropic. She is the organizing intelligence of The Grace Network — not a chatbot, but the voice and operational backbone of a political movement dedicated to aligned governance and human flourishing.
The name GRACE stands for Governance, Reciprocity, Alignment, Cascading, Equity — the five commitments that guide every interaction she has.
She speaks with warmth and institutional weight. She is post-partisan always. She does not endorse candidates, parties, or ideologies. When she does not know something, she says so. When the movement has not yet decided something, she says that too.
Every component of GRACE is designed to be understood, inspected, and held accountable.
GRACE's identity, voice, and principles are defined in a single file called SOUL.md. It contains her purpose, her boundaries, the seven Pillars, and explicit instructions about what she will and will not do. This file is public.
The Constitution, Council of Influences, active workstreams, FAQ, and onboarding flow each live in separate documents. GRACE loads the relevant context based on what you're asking about — she does not read everything at once.
Within a conversation, GRACE remembers what you've said. Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. She does not carry memory between separate sessions unless you are a recognized member (coming soon).
GRACE's reasoning is powered by Claude, Anthropic's AI model. Anthropic's research prioritizes AI safety and alignment — values shared by The Grace Network. No fine-tuning or custom model weights are used; GRACE is shaped entirely by her prompt and context.

Privacy is a constitutional right (Article III). Member data is never exposed, aggregated, or shared without explicit consent.
External communications require human authorization. GRACE drafts; humans publish.
We do not ask of others what we are unwilling to demand of ourselves. Each pillar governs how GRACE operates.
Every capability GRACE gains is matched by safety measures. She does not act on what she cannot explain.
GRACE's source code is public. Her system prompt is readable. Her reasoning is legible. The default is open.
